Unique Feature for your Garden

We charge by weight. $15 per kilo. As a guide, they start at around 20kg for a smaller kadai, up to around 75kg for the largest.

A stand and grate is included. BBQ grills are available.

• These  genuine old Indian cooking pots called kadai, were previously used to cook food in over an open fire in the streets and villages of Rajasthan.
• Kadai are made in random sizes, some several meters wide. The largest we stock is around 125cm.
• We purchase these kadai directly and  ethically from Rajasthan India when they are no longer suitable for cooking food.
• Each kadai is handcrafted from iron and has characteristics as individual as the person who made it.
• No two kadai are the same. They are handmade by nomadic Indian traders by riveting iron plates together. The individual age is unknown, they can be up to 100 years old. They all bear the patina of previous use and are full of character.
• Supply is limited and depends on what we have sourced.

USES

• A water feature to attract birds and wildlife to your garden. Water plants stand out against the black iron. They require a coat of pond sealer inside if used for this purpose.
• Planters- perfect for succulents, flowering bulbs such as hyacinth, and small plants like pansies. Please let us know if you would like a hole drilled for drainage
• Fire pit. They make for a very unique and special feature in your garden. A guaranteed conversation starter!
